Tamil Nadu ITI Eligibility Criteria

Applicants should meet the eligibility criteria before they apply for the admission for TN ITI application form.

Age Limit: The minimum age limit of applicants for admission to all the trades is 14 years. There is no upper age limit for women candidates to join in the courses.

Tamil Nadu ITI Merit List 2020

Rank List for ITI Tamil Nadu admission will be issued by the Directorate Of Employment & Training, Tamil Nadu itself. Applicants who have applied for admission need to verify their name in the rank list and if they want to get admission in the program. The Rank List will be provided based on the Applicant’s marks obtained in their qualifying exam. If the Applicant’s name is given in the rank list, then they will be chosen for the final admissions.

In case of Tie Breaker

If more than one Applicant gets the same number, then they will receive the seat as per the tie-breaker rules as follows

  • The math score will be considered, Applicants with higher scores will have the choice.
  • If the case is tie-breaking, the Applicant having more leading scores in Science will have the choice.
  • If continued, then Applicants having a higher entire score will have the opportunity.
  • At last, the date of birth of the Applicant will be compared.

Tamil Nadu ITI 2020 Counselling

After the announcement of the rank list, the counselling will be published by the Institute. The counselling will also be called a discussion day. Applicants can verify the date, time and location for the discussion day on the official website. Applicants should exhibit on the discussion day with their original certificates. Every Applicant must reach on the counselling day they will be allotted for the discussion else they will miss their admission seat. The selection of the Applicant will be according to the rank list. Applicants should verify the program for the consultation day.

The seat allocation will be conducted on the consultation day. Applicants when reaching the designated venues then they will be able to view the electronic screen. All the decisions will be shown on the electronic monitor. In case Applicants appear late on the consultation day later they would not be allowed for the counselling method. They will challenge the previous standards.

About Directorate of Employment and Training

Directorate of Employment and Training will include the ITI programs for the government and private institutes. Applicants can also apply for vocational training. Industrial Training Institute (ITI) will allow the skill training beneath craftsmen skill training. Systematic instruction granted in these institutes will introduce different programs. 85 government-affiliated ITIs are governing across the state.
