On this very special day, as our school is going to complete one more fantastic year, it is an incredibly proud and emotional moment for us all. If I say that the year has been nothing less than a roller-coaster ride, I won’t be wrong. Really, with so many beautiful memories to cherish, with so many learnings, this year has taught us, in all possible ways and prepared us for the next year and probably for a lifetime.
I would wholeheartedly like to welcome you all to the annual function of our school, as I will be leaving the school this year, it is more of an emotional experience for me. I, Akshay Rana from XII standard, am feeling much obliged to host this annual day function. Before we jump into this memorable day, I would like to take this platform to speak a little about my school, as this will be my last annual function as a student of this fantastic school.
We have always heard the saying that “school life is the best, make the most out of it,” from our elders, today I can relate to it. And now I truly understand why it is said that the friends we make in school are nothing less than a family. We fought together, we played together, we won together, we lost together, and how I forget the lunchtime, the most thrilling the sharing of tiffin is more of sharing of love and sharing of a bond. I will take this moment to thank each of you for making my school life a memorable one. I would also like to thank our beloved teachers for their continuous guidance.
Friendship will be one of the most valuable assets anyone can have. Rightly said the quality of friends matters more than the quantity and as the year ends, every one of us is going to miss the friendship we made in our school life.
In order to make this special day memorable, special arrangements have been made. As we have our parents as well, with us on this particular day, it will surely be twice the fun. There are various acts, performances singing and dancing, specially prepared by the students. We have prepared various fun activities for our parents and teachers, to make this day a memorable one for them as well, some games are also planned wherein the students can also join. This is our way of saying thank you to our parents and teachers for always being there for us and supporting us.
