NSDC Certificate: What is NSDC? NSDC is the abbreviation for National Skill Development Corporation, a non-profit public limited company that falls under the purview of the Ministry of Finance. It was incorporated on 31 July, 2008 under section 25 of the Companies Act (1956). The private sector holds nearly 51% of the share capital while the remaining 49% of the share capital is held by the Government of India (via the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship).

The NSDC provides a plethora of courses and if the trainee successfully completes their relevant course, then the trainee is awarded an NSDC certificate. The primary type of training provided under this training body is apprenticeship training. There are two components in this type of training – Basic training component and On-the-job-training.
