NIOS Certificate: National Institute of Open Schooling is an autonomous educational institution that falls under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. In a nutshell, NIOS can be compared to other educational boards in India such as CBSE and CISCE as the board administers Secondary and Senior Secondary exams. One main difference that separates NIOS from other contemporaries is that NIOS provides the learner a flexible learning experience. It also forgoes traditional classroom learning, and instead, encourages students to study at their own pace and style.
If the candidate clears the exam, their NIOS certificate/passing certificate will be issued in about six months after the declaration of the results. Provisional as well as Migration Certificates will be issued to the candidates too, provided they clear the exams. The marks sheet will be provided at the candidate’s Academic Study Centres (AI) on the declaration of the results. Please note that NIOS does not issue any School Leaving/ Bonafide/ Character/ Transfer/ Date of Birth Certificates separately to its learners.
You can find more about certificates, explore the types used for academic purposes, professional purposes and more.
NIOS encourages you to provide your very best – some subjects are quite tough and may require more than a year of preparation. This means you can take subjects which you feel are easy in one year and comparatively difficult subjects the following year. Candidates will be provided certificates as long as they complete the required number of subjects.
