Indian Navy Officer Through NDA Entry

By joining the National Defence Academy (NDA), candidates can get the ways to join the Indian Armed Forces. They will be given here joint training first and then sent to pre-commission training, where they are selected for armed forces as per their preferences. The training is for 1 year.

Indian Navy Officer Through Cadet Entry

Male candidates who have passed their Class 12th exam with 70% can apply for Indian Armed Forces training. Once their application is shortlisted they will be called for an SSB interview. Indian Navy Officer Through CDS Entry

Combined Defence Service Examination (CDSE) examination is conducted twice every year by UPSC. Candidates who are engineering graduates can join the Indian Navy bypassing the CDSE exam followed by SSB. Get the complete details here.

Indian Navy Officer By UES

University Entry Scheme (UES), a short service commission, is a procedure for the candidates who want to join indian armed forces. BE/BTech, Pre-Final or Final year students, are eligible to apply for UES.

Indian Navy Officer By Graduate Direct Entry

Graduate candidates can directly apply for Indian Navy officer positions based on their qualifications. Selected applications will be forwarded for the SSB interview. Both male and female candidates can apply for it. The positions available under this category are Naval Armament, Logistics, Pilot Observer, Education, Inspection Cadre, etc.

Indian Navy Officer By INET Entry

Indian Navy Entrance test is conducted under IHQ MoD (Navy)/DPMR for the officer’s entry. It is for both permanent as well as a short service commission. INET is conducted every year, twice.

Indian Navy Officer – SSB

After clearing the first entry-level, candidates’ profiles are shortlisted to SSB (service selection board) where they are called for interviews and other procedures. The officials will check the candidate’s planning and organizing skills, adaptive capability, social effectiveness, etc.

There are two stages to conduct SSB interview:

1. Intelligence Test, Picture Perception and Discussion Round.
2. Psychological Test, Group Test and Interview.

Once the candidates have cleared the SSB rounds, they will be sent for a medical test. After the confirmation, they will be selected as a trainee to join Indian Navy.

Indian Navy Sailor Artificer Apprentice (AA)

Class 12th students are eligible to apply for Sailor position in the Indian Navy. To join as an Artificer Apprentice (AA), below are the required details.

Students who have passed class 12th are eligible to apply but the age limit should be between 17 to 20 years.

Indian Navy Sailor By MR & NMR Entry

Matric Recruit (MR) and Non-Matric Recruit (NMR) are conducted by the Indian navy to join as Cooks & Stewards, Sanitary Hygienist, etc. The minimum qualification for MR is class 10th and NMR is class 6th.
