‘Indian Culture’ refers to the multitudes to cultures present in India. Then Indian Culture is an umbrella term which includes the knowledge, beliefs, arts, laws, and habits of the different people of different religions, dance, music, architecture, customs and food from different parts of the country. Every part of the country has its own distinct and varied cultural feature. Everything is so rich in cultural heritage that we are proud to call ourselves Indians.

The Indian society and Culture is one of the oldest cultures, which can be dated back to the 2500 B.C.E. India developed from the earliest civilizations, like the Indus Valley civilization. It was one of the richest with a vast trade which spanned throughout the entire world.

Apart from material richness, the Indian Culture valued emotional and scientific progress more than any other earlier civilizations. No other culture has made such in-depth studies dedicated to understanding the human being.

Its diversities unite India. It is home to a vast plethora of religions, languages, arts and beliefs which have further genres of their own. With so much diversity, it becomes overwhelming to explore and understand the Indian Culture.

Bharatnatyam is a type of devotional dance form which is notable for its unique hand gestures and intense facial expressions. South Indian food is strongly biased towards plant-based fermented products, like idli, sambar, dosa, and much more. Many festivals, like Onam and Pongal, are celebrated here.

West India is famous for its desert terrains and its gigantic film industry, Bollywood. The colourful sarees and lehengas of Jaipur are famous. Dandiya is a famous dance form using sticks.

The Eastern part of India is famous for their massive Durga Puja during October, for their diet in fish and rice, for Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore and the dance form Odissi. The northeastern part of India has the most extensive tea gardens in the world.

Hence, Indian Culture refers to all these and much more. There is no other country in the world with as many cultural variations and so much unity in the entire world.
