GSRAAV Grade VI Admission Procedure

The application form for the GSRAAV admission for grade VI is restricted to students belonging to Scheduled Castes. The announcement for the same is made by the Social Welfare Department of Uttarakhand. The applicants must be permanent residents of the state. Students who wish to apply must note the following:

  1. No gap between grade III and V.
  2. I have passed all their exams between grade III and V.
  3. A grade V student is permitted for admission.

Eligibility Criteria for GSRAAV

  1. The admission form is only for Scheduled Castes students.
  2. The must be a student of grade V of the current academic year (applying for the upcoming academic year) and a student of government or recognized institute in Uttarakhand.
  3. The education details of the student are given to Government Surendra Rakesh Adarsh Awasiya Vidyalaya. The photograph pasted to the application form, as well as education details, is subject to verification as well. The headmaster/principle of the student in the present institution will be contacted for verification and scrutiny.
  4. An eligible candidate must be between the ages of 10 to 12 as of July 1st, 2008 (current requirement). A valid age proof document is the education record submitted by the Candidate.

GSRAAV Application procedure details

After announcement of admission applications, applicants can download the form from http://ubse.uk.gov.in/ which is the official website for the Uttarakhand Board of Education. The application should be printed and filled. The applications are available in the month of October and the deadline is December. While filling the application form, accurate information must be filled in neatly and clearly. There is no fee for applications. Signature of parents or guardian must be present in the form. All original certificates for age proof, address proof as well as caste certificate must be given along with the application form. After the form is filled, it must be sent to the following address via post: Secretary, Departmental Exam Uttarakhand Board of Education Ramnagar, Nainital Kindly check the eligibility criteria before submitting the application form.

Once the process is complete, the student will receive the admit card. Admit card is issues in the mid of February. The admit card comprises of:

  1. Important details of the Candidate.
  2. The unique registration number allotted for the examination.
  3. Venue of the test centre. Government Surendra Rakesh Adarsh Awasiya Vidyalaya has 40 test centers across 4 cities in Uttarakhand. The Candidate can mention their first four preferences. Based on availability, they are allotted the test centre.
  4. Necessary information regarding the exam. It is mandatory for all selected candidates to carry their admit cards to the test centre, failing which they cannot attend the exam. Some of the test centers are Nainital, Bhagwanpur, Dehradun, Rishikesh, Uttarkashi, Gopeshwar, Srinagar and Roorkee.

GSRAAV Entrance Exam

The entrance exam is scheduled in the last week of February. The test will be offline, with the option of answering it in English or Hindi. The exam is marked out of 100, with no negative marking. The exam is conducted in the morning and the exam has duration of 2 hours, in which the student must complete 3 sections: Mental Ability, Mathematics and Hindi Language. The test will have objective type questions. The marking scheme is provided below:

  1. Mental Ability – 40 marks
  2. Mathematics – 30 marks
  3. Hindi Language – 30 marks

The questions will be in an MCQ format with 4 options. The Candidate must select one option that they feel is correct and mark it with a circle using blue/black ballpoint pen. If multiple answers are selected, no marks are awarded to the Candidate, even if one of the answers is correct. The student will be granted admission based on the score of the entrance test.
