Eligibility Criteria for the AP EdCET

There are a few criteria that you must fulfill to be eligible for the Common Examination Test. When you are filling the application form online, you will come across the criteria that you must fulfill. If you don’t fulfill the criteria, you would be eligible for the examination. Here are the criteria that you have to keep in mind to write the examination:

  • The candidate must be of 19 years of age. There’s no age limit to appear for the examination.
  • Candidates have passed or are appearing for a B.A, B.Com, B.Sc for BCA. The candidates who have a degree must attach a copy of it.
  • Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and Other Backward Classes such as OBC-A, OBC-B, OBC-C, OBC-D, and OBC-E have a reservation available for them.
  • The physically-handicapped candidates and candidates who have a reservation must have a minimum of 40% in the last examination.

Syllabus and Exam Pattern for AP EdCET

The AP EdCET is an easy examination. The test consists of questions for a total of 150 marks, comprising three sections- Part A, Part B, and Part C. the candidates must attempt the first two sections of the paper. You will get a total of 2 hours to complete the question paper. There is no negative marking for the questions that you attempt. Each question is of 1 mark, so for every right question, you will be awarded one mark.

Syllabus for AP EdCET

The candidates must have a thorough knowledge of various subjects to appear for the examination.

For Part A- The candidate must have a thorough knowledge of the English Language. Candidates must know the parts of speech and the transformation of sentences.
