Daman and Diu ITI Admission 2020-2021: Government Of Industrial Training Institute, Daman and Diu will issue the notification for eligible Applicants for admission into Industrial Training Institute in Daman and Diu for the academic year 2020-2021 for admission to various technical and non-technical programs. With the aim of assuring a constant flow of skilled workers and to lessen unemployment among the skilled youth by training and equipping them for proper Industrial employment and for self-employment. The Institute presents training in Engineering and Non-Engineering Two years / One-year Trade programs approved by the Govt. of India in deliberation with the National Council for Vocational Training, New Delhi. Daman and Diu ITI Admission Dates

The selection of the applicants will be done on the basis of merit. Trainees will also get the certificate after the completion of training by the National Council of Vocational Training. Daman and Diu ITI Eligibility Criteria

Applicants are advised must go through the eligibility criteria before applying for the application.

• Must be a citizen of India.
• Applicants should be minimum of 14years of age.
• Candidates should have qualified S.S.C. or equivalent in the subject of Maths and Science/ H.S.S.C. in commerce/Science/Diploma in any Engineering branch.
• An Applicant should have been residing in Daman / Diu as the case may be for a period of at Least Two Years preceding the year of the application Provided that the aforesaid condition shall not apply.
  • Child of the Central/State/Union Territory Govt./GOI employees who are posted in Daman / Diu.
  • Child of the Freedom Fighters registered as such in the Home Department in the Administration of Daman & Diu.
  • Ex-Serviceman.
  • Child of parents of Daman/Diu origin who are born in Daman/Diu and who are serving in the Armed forces provided that such Child pass their qualifying examinations under the Central board of education. Parents of Daman/Diu origin means that both father and mother were born : Daman/Diu

Educational Qualification

For non-engineering trade: 1-year Cutting & Tailoring: A pass in class 8th exam is required in order to be eligible.

For engineering trade

• 1-year Plastic Welder (Gas & Electricals), Diesel Mechanic and Processing Operator: The Applicants should have Candidate should have qualified their class 10th or equivalent exam.
• 1-year Computer Operator & Programming Assistant: Those who have Candidate should have qualified their class 12th exam or hold a 3-year diploma in any branch of engineering after 10th can apply.
• 2-year Wireman: Applicants should have cleared their class 10th or equivalent exam with Science as a subject to be eligible.
• 2-year Turner and Fitter: The Applicants should have qualified their class 10th or its equivalent.
• 2-year Information Technology & Electronics System Maintenance: A pass in class 10th or equivalent exam with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks in Mathematics and Science.
• 2-year Electrician, Refrigerator & Air Conditioner Mechanic and Electronics Mechanic: Those who have cleared their class 10th exam with Science and Mathematics are eligible to apply.

Medical Fitness

• The applicant at the time of Admission is required to submit a Medical certificate examined by the Medical Officer of a Govt. Hospital certifying that the incumbent is fit to join the Trainings Institute.
• The Physically handicapped persons are required to produce Certificate from VRC ( Vocational Rehabilitation Center ) for handicapped/Collector/Mamlatdar of the District.

Daman and Diu ITI Merit List

Merit List for Daman and Diu ITI admission 2020 will be issued by the Government Of Industrial Training Institute, Daman and Diu ITI itself. Merit List would be released on the official website on the designated date. Daman and Diu ITI Selection Procedure

• Those Applicants who submitted the application form as per the eligibility criteria will be eligible for consideration in the merit list.
• The first preference for the seats will be given to the local Applicants and later, to nearby States and UT’s.
• The shortlisted Applicants of the merit will be called for the document verification process.
• Admitted trainees have to submit the caution fee also against any loss or damage while the training process.

Daman and Diu ITI Selection Procedure

After the selection is made from among the applications received till the Last date (closing of the hours) declared for receipt of application forms. The selection last shall be notified on the Notice board of the Institute at Daman/Diu and they shall also be informed at their address as per the attached card meant for such purpose specifying his/her selection of Trade and such Applicants will appear before the Principal, I.T.I. Daman/Diu along with the Original Certificates for Verification/ Photographs 3 Copy and fill the Admission form and pay the caution Money Deposit on the Date & Time specified on the card. In case the Applicant fails to fill the form and pay the C.M.D. as per the scheduled Date & Time his/her name shall be struck off from the Selection List and Applicants kept on Waiting List shall be released. Registration Fee Rs. 50/-.

• A stipend of Rs. 100/- per month is paid to all the Trainees.
• An additional amount of Rs. 50/- per month is given to trainees belonging to SC/ST category.

The Industrial Training Institute, Daman was established in 1978 and the Industrial Training Institute, Diu in 1981.
