Chandigarh ITI Admission 2020 Application Procedure
The Applications for the admissions in ITI Chandigarh will be accessible on the official website. Interested applicants have to first register by registering their details such as mobile number, Email ID and name. Chandigarh ITI Merit List
The Merit List for ITI Chandigarh admissions will be published by the Industrial Training Institute, Chandigarh on the formal website. Applicants who have filled the application must verify their name in the merit list and if they want to take admission in the program. The merit list will be divided into two parts: the U.T. pool and the General pool. applicants can verify the particular merit list below:
U.T. Pool
The applicants will fill 85 % of the seats that have their qualifying examination from the school/ college acknowledged by Chandigarh and established in Union Territory.
- 10th class total of the first five subjects marks recognised for the merit list.
- In case the score is in CGPA then it will be transformed into a percentage by multiplying CGPA by 9.5.
- If applicants obtain the same marks, then the decision will be given based on the Date of Birth. If the date of birth is the same, then the decision will be given based on higher marks in Math and Science. If still, there is more than one applicant, then the choice will be given based on the highest marks in English.
General Pool
Applicants will fill 15 % seats, who have passed the qualifying examination from the institution other than those situated in the Union Territory and Chandigarh.
- Total score considered for providing the merit list, if the total score will be not available, then the first five subjects marks are considered for the formation of the list.
- In case applicants have the CGPA score, then they will be transformed into percentage marks.
- In the case of the Haryana Board if the total will not be given and GPA is given, then the multiplication factor of 10 will be recognised for the merit.
Chandigarh ITI Counselling Procedure
All the applicants who will make the merit list after the announcement of results will be called for the counselling procedure. The time and place of the counselling process can also be verified through the formal website. The counselling procedure will be the closing process and after this process, applicants will get the position for the admissions. The seat allocated to the applicant is as per the merit list. It will be necessary for every applicant to impersonate on the day of the counselling as per the program else they will miss the seat of the admission. Applicants have to provide the original documents at the time of the admission procedure to the designated college.
Chandigarh ITI Seat Matrix
Applicants should recognise that the 85% seats will be for the applicants who have their eligibility from Chandigarh and located in Union Territory. These applicants will be numbered under the U.G. pool. Then 15% of seats will be for applicants that have their eligibility other than union territory and Chandigarh. These applicants will be under the General pool. Apart from this reservation seats will be also distributed under various categories.
