AMU, or Aligarh Muslim University, is one of the pristine government universities in India. The university offers courses in all subject streams and is a premier Central Government university. After applying to AMU, you have to write the AMUEEE, that is, the AMU Engineering Entrance Exam if you are applying for either B.Tech, B.Arch or B.E (mechanical/civil/electrical).
What you should know about the AMU Engineering Entrance Exam (AMUEEE)
AMUEEE is a national examination to help you with your entry to Aligarh Muslim University. If you wish to go to AMU to study there, you have to write this exam. Currently, the AMUEEE is scheduled to be conducted on 31st May. This follows the online application for the same. The exam is an offline exam for undergraduate admissions in the city which you select in your online application. The admit card for AMUEEE will be available to eligible candidates in the last week of April. Following the exam, the answer key will be released to the candidates in the first week of June, and you will receive your results for AMUEEE in the last week of June. You will find out towards the end of June if you have been selected to enroll in AMU.
Eligibility Criteria for the AMUEEE
While checking the eligibility criteria for AMUEEE is a requirement for filling up the application form, it does no harm to know it. To partake in the AMUEEE, there are certain requirements that you should have met by the time you fill the form. You must meet all of these requirements; otherwise, you will be ineligible to write the AMUEE and join this university. The following is the eligibility criteria for AMUEEE:
- Candidates must not be more than 24 years of age as of 1st July 2020
- Candidates must have passed 10+2 from a recognised educational board, with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks
- Candidate should have studied and written exam for Physics, Chemistry as well as Mathematics in their 10+2 or equivalent
- Additional eligibility: if you have completed an engineering diploma from AMU with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks, you are also eligible to write the AMUEEE

Syllabus for AMUEEE
If you have applied for Architecture (B.Arch), then you have to study the prescribed syllabus for architecture. Preparing for the AMUEEE
When preparing for the AMUEEE, prepare for it as though you’re preparing for any important exam. Go through the syllabus and study the subjects and topics thoroughly. Prepare notes for yourself which will come to good use during last-minute preparations Do study all the topics you find difficult in the beginning, then move on to topics you find relatively easier. This is a good way to study, as it also relieves stress related to the apprehension of needing to study something complicated. Finally, go through AMUEEE old question papers (find these in the next section here) and solve them. Try to solve them as if you’re sitting in the exam hall, with zero disturbances and a timer set to the duration of your respective test.
